Our Small Business chat includes some of the following highlights:
Impact of past experiences
Trying to do it all yourself
Fear holding us back
“There’s fear that comes up even for successful people. So that fear is an interesting thing. I mean it is an emotion. Often though, I find fear is based on something that’s in a past experience or something that we’re worried about in the future. I do a lot of work with my clients and with myself by the way of truly being present. This is the here and now.
And and to say in terms of business development is making sure that we just we take one step at a time because overwhelm causes fear yet overwhelm is worrying, telling ourselves stories about the future that don’t exist yet.
Our brain is geared that way that we’ll imagine something. My sort of teaching or mentoring would be along the lines of ‘listen, we’re going to play a movie anyway, so for goodness sake let’s not play the one that’s no so great. Let’s play the blockbuster. Let’s play something that is able to really energize us and change our way of being in the world because the movie that we play in our mind does affect our physiology.”
