Welcome to Episode 10
Listen to the episode
In this episode I'm joined by Anna Sheppard, founder and CEO of Bambuddha Group, an inclusive peer-to-peer leadership development network. Anna has worked with hundreds of companies and leaders, showing them how to "work kinder".
Show notes
I first met Anna at The Gamechangers Gathering, an annual event founded by Bambuddha Group that brings together thought leaders and social impact experts dedicated to creating change.
Anna also founded The Corporate Kindness Project, an Australian research study into the business benefits of working kindly, which released its first white paper in 2019. We recorded this episode in 2020, and her reflections on leading through uncertain times still hold true.
Episode highlights
"There are leaders whose knees are knocking and who feel a little wobbly, but they're still showing up for themselves and for others."

In Anna's words
What leaders need most
"There's a lot of nervousness and anxiety in the world at the moment, so what we need more than anything is compassion and kindness.
There are leaders whose knees are knocking and who feel a little wobbly, but they're still showing up for themselves and for others. We're here to empower those leaders. It's about a community where they can come and be safe, and talk about what's going on."
Stuck between a rock and a hard place
"A lot of the time, executives, business owners and operators get stuck between a rock and a hard place. You don't know who to go to, and you don't know who to trust. You might have a board to report to, or a team that wants you to lead with integrity, passion and positivity. Having a space you can come to is important."
