Welcome to Episode 8
Listen to the episode
In this episode I'm joined by Dan Olival, a graphic designer and personal trainer who, when we recorded in 2020, had been running his brand Xndr King for just over a year. Dan's passion is helping people take control of their lives, believe they can live better, and pursue their dreams, even if they're charging at them alone at first.
Show notes
Dan shares his business and life journey, including the years he spent chasing the approval of friends instead of focusing on his own goals and the bigger picture, even when those friends didn't share his mindset.
His advice to his younger self: stop chasing friends, because friendships aren't the centre of your happiness.

In Dan's words
The idea behind the brand
"Xndr King started with 'King'. When I was thinking about the brand, I wanted to create a movement of always wanting to better yourself and improve yourself.
Raising your standards, taking responsibility for your life and taking control of it. Owning your mistakes, owning up to your flaws, and then charging forward with the idea: I'm going to try to be the best version of myself that I can, as much as I can."
Not an overnight process
"It's not an overnight process. It takes a while to improve and tweak your personality, your attitude towards life and your mentality."
