Welcome to Episode 5
Listen to the episode
Today I'm talking about the power of saying no, a topic that confuses many small business owners. When we launch our own services or start selling our own products, we can go into "yes" mode: saying yes to everything and every opportunity, because we don't know how to say no.
Show notes
In this solo episode I talk about being a lifelong people pleaser, what saying yes to everything really costs, and how to decide which opportunities, clients and collaborations are genuinely right for you.
In this episode
"When you say yes to things that aren't meant for you, you're also saying no to the things that are."

Confessions of a people pleaser
I'm raising my hand here and admitting that for most of my life, I've been a people pleaser. Even when someone's suggestion or offer would put me on the back foot, I'd still say yes. Looking back, that's a little insane.
When you say yes to things that aren't meant for you, you're also saying no to the things that are.
Every choice has a flow-on effect
Whatever you decide, a yes or a no, it will have a flow-on effect on other parts of your life. So before you say yes to the next offer, client or collaborator, think about the impact it will have, and whether you'd be better off saying no.
Why I still say no
It's the reason The Visibility Accelerator™ is by application, with a maximum of five clients at a time. Saying no to more means the clients I do work with get my full attention.
